this year i have been lucky enough to have three dog bites. THREE!

first was my new years bite...i got up to pee and got my after midnight kiss, and when i sat back down to play more would you rather, dog #1 decides to bite my arm. he didnt break the skin but i had a really ugly bruise for a whole entire week. good thing i was drunk when it happened or i would have been very upset. i dont think you can really see the bruise in these pictures...oh well.



then a week and a half ago i was babysitting nick and hannah, my most favorite little kids besides deacon, and their dog frodo bit my thumb when i was putting him in his kennel. this time there was blood. i had to change my band aid three times because it was bleeding so much! i am babysitting again this friday, he better be on his best behavior this time. or maybe i should wear protective hand wear.

friday night i had a hot date with the one and only ms. james.
erin and i used to be roomies at melrose place. i have missed her over the last couple of years. we recently went to lunch and rekindled our friendship. we also spent new years eve together drinking while our dates played call of duty and the dog bit my arm.
anywhoo, i love her guts and on friday night we baked a cake. a bee cake. it is so cute!!! i have been doing a lot of baking this week.

and only the day before i made these wonderful cupcakes. i thought they looked like elephant seals. the boy i made them for didn't know what an elephant seal looked like. can you see the resemblance?

birthday celebrations

last weekend we had a girls night out for emilees bday. we started the night out at desert edge, then moved on the megans house for beers (and in my case, way too much whiskey), then headed out to the w for a wonderful night of dancing, taking my shoes off on the dancefloor. "losing" my id and debit card, paper cuts on my boobs from shoving my money into my bra, getting lost, megan crying, and lots of other fun things.

it really wasn't in my head!

so today started out pretty much like any other day. i woke up and showered and i was eating my breakfast when my mom said i should go down in the basement and see if i could smell anything. so me and jeff went down and it smelled like gas. so they called qwestar, and they said we had to leave. awesome. so we go get coffee, put peaches out on the porch, and just hang out in the car until the guy comes over. so it turns out that our sweet furnace is not set up properly, so the ventilation is all fucked. so it is just blowing exhaust out when it is on. it has probably been doing this for years and years and years but no one noticed because the house was so drafty until like 3 weeks ago when my parents FINALLY had the house insulated. so who knows how long we have been huffing furnace exhaust. my brain is so pissed at me, and this is probably a big reason why i am feeling tired all the time. so now we cant run the furnace until someone comes to fix it, and tomorrow it is supposed to be like 5 degrees or some shit like that.
who wants to let me sleep over???
